Well....actually, we worked on that the first week this thing was up. We were just playing around with ideas at the time.

Is there an interest in that type of thing?

I came across a sweatshirt a while back on CafePress for BushcraftUSA. I say why not or could do some badges/patches instead.

How about some Mora Clippers w/ the logo laser etched in the blade?

Iz

Patches would be cool, too. Maybe a sticker for my truck window. I'll put it right next to my Turley Knives sticker.:D

That is where we put the test stuff up. The patches might be a good thing, if we can come up with something. The link is below to the Cafepress store we put up.

I will need to find somewhere else to do these. For some stupid reason, the colored polo shirts have white circles under the logos. Dumbest thing I have seen in awhile from a retailer.

I'm not a big fan of the way some of the logo sites we looked at do their merchandise. I vote that Faol hand stitch everything we sell.

Faol and I met on another forum and communicated for a while via Paltalk. That's where the idea for this forum was born. :D

Man, no takers on the Moras.... oh well.

Mountain Ron
05-25-2009, 12:29 PM
A gen-u-wine Mora with Bushcraft USA laser etched on the blade would be a fine piece of gear. Wonder how much it would cost to have a batch of them etched?

Faol
05-25-2009, 12:53 PM
Man, no takers on the Moras.... oh well.

I would like to have the option to do so, but like Mountain Ron, I wonder about the price.

I would also be concerned that someone has fronted that kind of money to buy the Moras and have etched, whatever the minimum may be. If you know someone that does that Rip, please let us know what the price per item would be. Maybe there will be enough interest in it. I just do not want anyone put out, financially, and I do not have the money to front something like that.

That is too cool. I'm gonna get the bumper sticker once I take care of more important expenses lol. Put me down for a mora too! I should print that logo out and try my hand at embossing it into leather for when I make the sheath for my mora clipper.

Incidentily, Cabela's is having a promotion until December where there is a free embroidery set-up fee for outfitters, organizations, groups and companies. Come up with a logo and get in touch with them. Then you can buy almost any clothing in the Cabela's catalogue and have it embroidered with your logo for $5 bucks a piece.

http://corporateoutfitter.cabelas.com/?cm_re=Footer*CorpSales*080509

I have my blog embroidered on my Cabela's Safari shirts :)

Where do I send the money?

Faol

We had looked at the carbon mora, but the carbon is not good for etching, or the Mora carbon wasn't. The stainless can be done for etching. There is a raised process that allows it. I talked to a guy a couple of weeks ago about it, and he is supposed to check the price. I will post when he gets that to me.

Hey Y'all,
I'm new around here, but I love this site and really appreciate all the great knowledge and such.
As for the BCUSA Moras, It sounds like there is so much interest (myself included) how far out of the range of possibility would it be to design a custom knife with a carbon blade, Scandi grind, either BCUSA logo etched on the blade, or engraved on the scales, and/or embossed on the sheath with a firesteel loop, etc. There could be a poll to vote on the best design and get one of our fine custom shops to crank out a couple dozen to sell to the raging mobs asking for BCUSA Moras.
Am I way off here? Would anyone else be willing to pay a little more for a custom BCUSA knife?

That would be up to our knifemakers here. I'm sure there would be some interest among members. Also keep in mind we have the new logo coming that will fit much better on things.

Your vehicle logos aren't far from what is planned on mine.

We have BushcraftUSA coffee cups and shirts on CafePress. We aren't real happy with them, and are looking for another online supplier like them, that offers better options...if possible.

a friend of mine does leatherwork in his shop for mostly guns, and a few knives, and he uses a "stamp" to put his logo on everything. one swing of the hammer, and his logo is there for good. maybe the BCUSA knife could have a leather sheath, and someone just make the stamp cool looking, slap it on every sheath. just a suggestion.

I'm low on new clothing and wouldn't mind rocking a BCUSA T-shirt. I seen the ones with the site logo and they are cool but could be much improved.
Just an idea but maybe a "T-shirt art competition" type thread would be lucrative for some snazzy new BCUSA shirt ideas..
