My twins have have been asking for their own knives for a long time. The older kids have blades and I think these two are ready. I decided to give them a knife for X-mas. David Farmer told me that he had some candy-stripe micarta set aside for his daughter, but spared some for my little beauties....

Wow ! Those will go over big time ! Looks and function, and they get their very own knife ! I still remember my first real knife, and the lecture on responsibility that came with it, and that has been a bit over 55 years ago. :)

You will have to post pictures of their faces when they get them !

Those look great! Good on you for getting them fixed blades for their first. I'm a firm believer that they are safer in inexperienced hands!

Mneedham-

More farmers for you and your's? No surprise there.

What an awesome first blade for your kids!:dblthumb:

I know you don't need to be told this, but please give them a thorough safety briefing on using those blades. You know how sharp David gets them.

I still carry the drop point knife my dad made me when I was 4 (at least my 4th birthday is stamped on the back of the sheath, so I assume that's when he made it for me). In fact, I carried it with me today while I was deer hunting. I'm sure they will LOVE them.

Thanks guys! I think they will definitely like them... They will be receiving some safety instruction on X-mas day.
