View Full Version : Forgecraft Hi-carbon

I found a set of 3 Forgecraft Hi-carbon knives at a thrift store for $4.00. I will post pics later today. The knives include a butcher knife a boning knife and a long kitchen knife. I think I got a real find since they all are good and thick and have very little flex to them. My only problem is that there is a small amount of rust on two of them. How do I clean Carbon Steel? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Little bit of WD-40 and some fine steel wool will clean them right up

I usually rub 'em down on fine hone.

I like the WD-40 and steel wool idea since I have WD-40 already and steel wool is cheap. I will put the pics up momentarily. I just got home from work. Thanks guys!

Nothing wrong with them, they make good knives.
