Turned my Svord into a fixed blade

She was a bit of an experiment and not quite perfect. I framed around the tang with three layers of vulcan fiber (red, grey, red) and put pins in at the joint of the folder. Because the little bubble on the folder handle sticks up higher than the blade, the knife couldn't be a quite straight back handle without grinding it down (which I didn't want to do).

Worked out well.

I bought the svord for $13 which is only $3 more than a mora 1 blade. Considering that you can convex the edge of a svord fairly easily, this makes for a nice, cheap, convexed knife blank for making knives :)

I might try to clean it up on the sander still and shape it a bit more, but I am afraid of making it too small and, then, awkward to use.

Mine cost me something like 25 on ebay. Course, mine has the wooden scales.
