I found mine on ebay, think it was around $20-25. You might have to do a little hunting, just beware knock-offs and imitations.

If you don't find a US GI poncho just yet, you might also try a German poncho until such time as you truly find what you want. I have several 30-35 year old GI ponchos, and they'll eventually break down, so I'm trying the German ponchos until I find a viable source for the Americans.

I paid about $50.00 for mine at US Cavalry. When I picked them up a couple of years ago they were the only shop I could find them in. They were new/unissued items though. IMHO they are worth every penny. It is one of the most versital pieces of gear I have in my pack.

I have dealt with U.C. Calvary many times and they have always been top notch in prices and services. Most of my gear and my poncho came from there as well.

US Cav is a great place. I remember when I was at Knox, we went there all the time to drool over gear. Good folks over there.

Anybody have experience with the one in the top link? I'm guessing it isn't the real deal if it's only $18, but I'm just wondering if anyone has anything, good or bad, to say about it.

Ebay right now has one - USGI poncho (http://www.ebay.com/itm/USGI-BDU-WOODLAND-CAMO-WET-WEATHER-PONCHO-1-SZ-HUNTING-/320773824093#ht_1160wt_927) for $19.99 Buy It Now with $9.49 shipping. There are several up for $40-50 but if you're patient and look around you can usually find one for less. I'm not a big ebay fan but sometimes it's just hard to find certain items even from online shops.

I agree with jloden. I got two off of ebay @ a year ago for $50.00 pair. Seller stated they were American made for another country based on milspecs. Unfortunately, I don't remember the seller. Bottom line, keep looking, ebay can be a good resource.
