I know this has been posted before but since the search feature and my typing abilities don't coincide...

I love to read informational posts (knowledge is power; The more I know, the less I carry, etc) but most of the time it's hard to find posts on a specific topic. So would it be inappropriate to ask those who are starting a thread to put the specific topic in the title?
For example on the title line you would put:

Axe Mask
Knife Sheath
Kuksa
Shelter
Hand Forged Knife
Canoe Trip

I'm not trying to start a discussion, just asking for help.;)
Thanks,
Liam

I agree! The title should tell you what the thread is about.

General thread titles like "Question...." or "Need help..." etc. are worthless because you have no idea what the subject is until you go in to the thread.

I also hate titles that start the first sentence of the thread, then it continues in the body of the OP. Stuff like:

"Went to the..."

"woods this weekend and tried the bow drill. Didn't work. What are the characteristics I should be looking for in a piece of wood for a spindle/hearth?"

If the title were "What are good bow drill wood characteristics?" now we all know what the topic of discussion is!
