I recently bought a beautiful Damascus with "J. Earl" on the blade, but I can't find any info on a knife maker with that name...the seller said he was from Texas. Does anyone have any info on him?

JEarl is James Earl Browning. He makes knives under the name Browning & Sons. His JEarl line is his more custom high end stuff, typically Damascus. He's a great guy, hits all the major gun shows in Texas.

Thanks, it's a beautiful knife, my first damascus (I don't know much about damascus) , but I love it.

Beautiful blade. The only problem I can see with it is its too nice to use in the dirt. Lol
