I have managed to lower my cholesterol, by changing my diet.
For several years, here are my average numbers:
HDL - 20's
LDL - 170's
Total - 200'ish

After 2 years of eating oatmeal at least 5 mornings a week:
HDL - 30
LDL - 120
Total - 170's


The doc told me I could Not do it, "take meds". He was surprised. Ha!

My total was 340 a year and 1/2 ago. Doc gave me 3 months to get it down, changed my diet too. Cruised in under 200 the next check up. I fell off the horse about 6 months ago and am currently getting ready to stroke out now :) . Trying again and going to try to maintain it, as I feel like poo now.
