    Default Altoid tin char cloth maker



    Easy to use for making char. Just fill with cotton cut to size, pop into fire, wait till done <G>



    Finished product. This was using scraps from legs of cutoff blue jeans- makes good tough char cloth.

    yup, they work good as a flint and steel holder too.

    Every time I BBQ I make a batch in the coals using a altoid tin. Thanks for the post.

    No, just left the lid unclipped -that and the hinge slots let the gas escape, and a tap to seat the lid when removing it kep air out until it cooled.
