    Default Pana Slingshot

Have any of you ever seen or used a Pana?
Pana means buddy or sidekick. pretty fitting name if you ask me.
It's a Filipino slingshot. Used mainly by thugs nowadays, but has history of being used for hunting.
I posted it on a group page on facebook and one of the guys there is in the process of making one and testing it out.
Looks like it could be something fun to mess around with.

I can already see a trip to the ER in the works for me........looks like a high probability of a dart to the hand.

Everything I read said to make sure you wear gloves until you get good at using it.
One of the guy made his today and loves it.
He made a wooden dart and is going to post video over the next couple days.
I'll share it here when he does.

Looks like I'm headed to Homedepot for some 10 penny nails and surgical tubing.

Saw those used in the PI by the Negritoes during JEST (Jungle Enviroment Survival Training) They used them under water to catch fish and prawns

That is awesome. I was just researching sling bows. This may be a great place to start!
