Default PIF: Boreal Wool Pullover (size medium)

No skill challenge here, just a simple Pay It Forward.

I have up for this simple PIF a size medium 100% Boreal Wool Pullover in excellent, like new, condition. If interested PM me on what you will offer up in your follow up PIF and I will decide who will get the Boreal, so make it something good. The Boreal is a quality bushcraft garment and I will be picky on who this goes to based on what they agree to pay forward.

    PIF Rules:
    1) must be a Bushcraft USA member.
    2) must post your selected PIF for agreed to item ASAP.
    3) must be willing to pay shipping.
    4) must agree to post picture on arrival.

Here is a link to the site where it was purchased, looks just like that and in like condition - new. I will edit my OP to show 100% wool.

Can you explain, or link to a thread, how a Pay it forward works?

My take on a PIF (pay it forward) is that the person getting the item being offered agrees to pay forward an item of there own under the same format.

My PIF is for the Boreal Wool Pullover, the member getting it then offers up their agreed on item and on it goes. Each PIF is linked back to the original like a chain letter. Hope this helps, if others want to offer additional input feel free.

Sounds good to me. Also, I think the intent would be to forward a similar valued item. These anoraks are very nice. Check the provided link. Have fun with it!

Also, check their size charts they run larger than you might think, a medium will fit an average size guy whereas you might think a large would unless you like to wear it over a few layers.

"Also, I think the intent would be to forward a similar valued item." I agree on this point and it is why I required interested members PM me on what they would offer up in the form of a PIF in return.

In regard to fit, I'm 5'10" and 165 lbs and the fit is very "roomy" on me and will accommodate layering if needed.

Fantastic PIF. I wish I could enter, but I am not a member at least this year.

Here is the definition of PIF, Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor. The concept is old, but the phrase may have been coined by Lily Hardy Hammond in her 1916 book In the Garden of Delight.[1]
"Pay it forward" is implemented in contract law of loans in the concept of third party beneficiaries. Specifically, the creditor offers the debtor the option of paying the debt forward by lending it to a third person instead of paying it back to the original creditor. Debt and payments can be monetary or by good deeds. A related type of transaction, which starts with a gift instead of a loan, is alternative giving.

The OP is coining the phrase for a new spin on trading.
