Default Quieting a Bob Dustrude's saw

Does anyone have advice how to quiet the clanging of the metal blade against the metal frame when carrying the saw in a backpack? I have it in an outer pocket and lash it down but it still makes noise when hiking.

Haven't seen one personally, but is there enough room to roll it in a bandana and still fit it inside?

It's never bothered me, but you could fold over a piece of cardboard and tape it to make a blade guard. Or ball up a piece of paper and push it in from the end opposite the wooden handle to pinch the blade against the side of the saw frame so it doesn't have room to rattle.

Before you fold it up completely jam a bandana, hank of 550 cord or just about anything between the frame and blade to keep it from rattling around.

While I don't have one, my buddy does and can't recall it really rattling to the point of bothering him or that I even heard when hiking near him.

my saw rattles sometimes and other times it does not. I cannot figure out why. Love the saw no matter what.
