Sorry to hear about your pups. It can be a hard time. One of mine is on her way out right now and I don't know how I will take it. I am terrified. Nice looking cab and new pup btw.

Thank you for this inspiring thread! Making sure it gets bumped up so more can read.

Sad to hear of the loss if your friends. Our dog taught us so much with her life. They are amazing souls.

    Here's the condensed 2013 update.

    It was a good year.

This Dude survived the winter and was looking good through most of the summer. I haven't caught him on camera in a while so I'm not sure he survived hunting season.

The new pup seemed to adjust just fine to the place.

The Flickers were a problem during breeding season...

Used up all of my extra shingles doing the repairs. He better not come back...

    It was a wet year.

    We got two new ones!

'Chubby Boo Boo' really put the hurt on the Mule Deer fawns. I didn't see any of them survive into July.

The pups working on the Ground Squirrels.

This Whitetail Doe usually gets both fawns into the next winter. This year she lost one to the Bear and lost the other to a Cougar that showed up in October.

    more to follow.

The twins at about five weeks old.

    Momma-Winkle

She's a real good mom. VERY aggressive. Everyone and everything gives her a wide berth.

Mr. Wooley was a regular until about August.
