Popped into the Goodwill that is close to my house this morning and picked up a heavy canvas Bass shops day pack for $3, a nice short handled canoe paddle for $2, a miniature baseball bat that is going to do duty as small game/fish club for .99, a fall camo fleece hooded, zippered jacket with Winchester embroidered on it for $5 and a pair of jeans for $3.

i am happy to finally add to this thread after watching it for months and months, wishing i had as much luck as all you seem to have. goodwill was a flop today, although there was some folding mess kit there, i enjoy my hobo craft enough to pass that by! salvation army, though, had sweaters on sale, 4 for a dollar. managed to find one turtle neck, 100% wool, and one "dressier" one my wife would approve of, 45% wool. it's about timeing-check your stores now that it's getting warmer-everything seems from winter is going on sale!

Got a GAP wool blend pullover (surprisingly soft), a pair of winter cargo pants, and a ukulele for $17 and change at the local Goodwill.

Got two wool blankets today rom my local thrift store. One was a 100% JCPenny brand and the other was a blend with no markings. $4.00 I thought it was Christmas again.

Default Another Old Axe Find - Need to identify

I actually picked this up last weekend, for a coupla' bucks, but just got around to taking a closer look at it. already tossed the handle, but haven't removed the haft/wedge. Pardon the Phonetography.

One side is stamped saying it's 1.5 lbs:

The other side was harder to make out...

But, wetting it helped. I see it says "Made In Sweden" and there's a maker mark -- Looks like an H and a B with an upward pointing arrow between:

Anyone know what that might represent?

Hultafors Bruks. A Swedish make. I refurbished one a few years ago and it has become my favorite. Great find!

This is my favorite axe. Hultafors Bruks. Great steel and nicely made. Good find.
    Here's mine after its refurbish.

Never can find anything good at Goodwill here. I did find some Zippo MPL butane lighters a few weeks ago for a buck a piece. I just got a pair of TEVA hurache type sandals off the Bay for 10 bucks.
