Well I don't usually go to thrift stores because I never luck out! Tonight I was looking for some wool or leather for a project. I found two Thermarest Ridge Rests for $2 (sell for $20 ea) that were brand new. I like to use these for winter camping to provide extra insulation on the snow. Although spruce boughs are nice, there aren't always trees!
Its not the best deal I've gotten at a Thrift Store but I found a nice like new lightweight Colombia button up long sleeve for $12.00
Two weeks ago I stopped by Home Depot to see if I could find any of those $25 5 Piece Camping Sets (Tent, 2 Mummy Bags and 2 Sleeping Pads).
They ended up being $1 for each set...I got two, in case any of my buddies that don't have their own gear decide to tag along on a camping trip.
They also had the Leatherman Wingman and Style CS set for $20 so I grabbed two of those as well.
Some of my recent Goodwill and Salvation Army scores:
EMS Goretex jacket
Mountain Hardwear soft shell jacket
LL Bean wool sweater
EMS wool sweater
REI fleece jacket
Mad Bomber hat
Outdoor Research hat
Marmot hiking pants
The most expensive item was the mtn hardwear jacket at $14.99
A few flea market finds over the last year:
TNF Cats Meow sleeping bag $10
EMS external frame pack $15
Pearson compound bow $20
150' climbing rope $15
15 black diamond carabiners $1 each
TNF goretex parka and pants $25
Here's some pics of the flea market finds

I know it's not a piece of gear but I found this cool little had carved and painted duck at the Salvation Army today for 99 cents.
