Here are some finds from a couple months ago:

A 1.5 qt Stainless steel Flan Mold (going to become a self-contained cook kit), the lid comes off an would make a fine shallow skillit or plate, and the bottom has 3 clips which lock it tightly closed. I plan on making a wire hanging tripod for it. - $5 new at my local mexican market.

Also pictured is a pair of copper mugs I picked up at a thrift store for $2 each.

    Next is today's finds:

A water proof pelican styled case, and a small stainless kettle. $2 and 4

A True Temper Kelly works Flint edge axe - $20

    A Craftsman Double & a unmarked 3 1/2 pounder - $15 for the pair.

My local swap meet has one regular vintage tool seller, who usually has some nice axes but mostly hatchets. I always stop at his booth and today I scored with that True Temper. Usually overall the swap meet doesn't have any other axes, but there were several booths that had ones that I didn't buy. There was a tempting Stanley double w/ a nice condition original handle, a 3 1/2 Collins, and a 4lb Plumb head. I really wanted the plumb as I have been looking for something bigger to split with, but the guy wouldn't budge on the price and I'm holding out for a 4+ lb Jersey. If it doesn't move, and is there the next time I go maybe he'll be more willing to move it.

HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPP!!!!!! New chisels that would match the quality of all those Barton's would be over $1000
Please tell me they are in horrible condition, that would make me a little less jealous.

That should make a great cooking kit.

I hope it works out for you. Sometimes the venders just get sick of looking at you and move it down to make you go away. I love that.

I found a neat little 6 inch cast iron pan for 3.95 and a candle lantern with the candle in it for 1.95 at the thrift store this weekend. I have been wanting a small cast iron pan that I wont mind carrying in a backpack.

My youngest son picked this up at a church rummage sale . I am nearly finished with a sheath for it . He bought the knife for $2 I think and I paid $1 for the leather at a flea market .100_2112.jpg

    Another great score today!

Some Belleville 950 Mountain Combat Boots in my size, NEW for $28. Cheapest I saw them online was $219. The store also had some NEW camo, not the digi stuff, medium regular for $12, shirt and pants. I also found new in package Camelback water bladder and cleaning kit, $6 each. I haven't taken pics of that yet since I'm still at work.

My town is near a military base, so gear is usually around, but not the new stuff. The guy at the thrift store said someone who regularly dumpster dives for him found all this stuff in the same place and just brought it in yesterday. I'm excited! These boots are awesome!
