Spoon I made from ash and tools I used, what to have a go at making my own spoon knife some time.

The small kukrsa is made out of olive and stained with coffee

Get most of my green wood from this ash tree in my backyard.I got a few new projects nearly finished hope I will get a chance to take so photos in the next few days

Spoon I did for the May Spooncarving Competition...

I kinda mucked it up and had to fix it with superglue (was at college w/out most of my woodworking supplies), hence the ugly fugly lighter-colored patches...

How do you attach the wooden spoons to the antler?

Trade secret, all i do is drill a socket into the end of the antler then carve a corresponding peg on the end of the spoon to suit the socket, by carving the peg you retain the strength of the wood, to join, fill the antler socket with glue, be it alraldite or a more shrafty pitch glue and bond the two pieces together
