Default Anyone ever order from Daves Knife World?

Just wanted to see how their service usually is, although I should have asked this days ago when I place the order

3 days ago I placed an order for a my first BRKT knife, and chose UPS Second day delivery with the assumption that I would get it quickly. Now 3 days have gone by and I haven't even received a confirmation that it has been shipped yet by the company

Too bad everyone isn't like Ragnar

Hopefully that will be the case, I'm anxious to get my first Barkie.

And how did I forget that it is the holidays...

    This beauty right here

I had a Grohmann back in the day and loved it, I figured this big boy version of it would do me nicely

What a kick to the giblets!
I received an email today from the company saying that the knife is no longer in stock! Why give someone an option to buy an item that is out of stock, even still, why tell me that the item has been shipped when it wasn't?

So, after this great disappointment I decided to order the Rogue Bowie, the beauty of a blade that it is. After ordering this, I receive another email saying that this knife is on the production schedule for January, and not only is it not available, but the prices listed aren't the prices actually prices of what they will charge with the next batch.

Frustrating! So, I'd like to advise people to be cautious when ordering from this company, if you have to order from them at all. At least send them an email first before you decide to purchase something just to see if it is available, because they will charge your card and not even notify you!

Sorry, I needed to rant a bit to vent my frustrations, and notify others of the companys shit service.

Daves knife world is not a stocking dealer of Bark River. There are a few dealers that deal heavily with the owners of Bark River and they are reliable and honest.

A few that come to mind off the top of my head: Knivesshipfree.com, DLT trading company, Crystal Falls Trading company, Mcknight cutlery.

There are many knife dealers on the internet that keep their over heads low by not actually having any of the knives they have for sale. They take your order and scramble to find the knife and ship it. Call before ordering a knife online.
