Iz, excellant vids. Very pesonable and informative. Taught me some new tricks, reminded me of old tricks and brought to light some bad habits to fix. Thanks a ton.

    Default New way of thinking

I am very new to Bushcraft. I was a boy scout as a boy, but I grew up on an army base located on a Pacific Island so we had limited opportunities to truly get out and test out the skills we learned. I never thought about using a mallet (makeshift or otherwise) to assist the knife with cutting tasks. Thanks for putting this up, I cannot wait to practice this and put it to use in the future.

I'm with Morlog; this is something I may never have thought of. A knife is the one tool I ALWAYS cary, so I'm pretty excited to make use of this skill.
    Thank you!

I am planning on purchasing a few pre made knife blade kits from knifekits.com. It is called the drop point hunter. Here is the link to it. http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/produc...oducts_id=4092

I honk it is a good deal. Does anybody else? Should I make mine from scratch? I have all finds or hardwood for a nice handle.

    Ben
