The Great Missouri Meet!
Sorry Bindlestitch but I closed the original thread mostly to make it easier to read about the meet (you still get credit for starting the biggest baddest thread in BCUSA history though so put on your BIG BOY BUSH PANTS and suck it up). Now where were we? Oh right, the meet.People this was the most fun I have had in a loooong time and I think this meet successfully surpassed the 1st Bushcrafters' Ball in skills, barter and comic relief. In fact my whole body aches from all the laughing that went on at this thing and we weren't even that drunk.
Thank you to all of the members and their wives who participated, it could have only been possible with your hard work and kindness.
Special thanks to:
-MoShooter and his wife for bringing us all of the goodies to make the campsite more comfortable
-Smokechoker19 (cookie) for bringing everything including the kitchen sink, keeping our bellies full, and teaching about stoves
-bindlestitch for taking point on this meet and bringing it all together as well as doing a superb job on the bowdrill class
-ia woodsman for keeping us dry the last 12 hours of the meet, doing the dishes while we sat and watched you, and demonstrating many impressive useful skills including cordage, fire, etc...
-Whitejaw for showing us how to trap without chopping our thumbs off and helping cook
-Sgt. Mac for keeping everything politically correct and keeping the camp free from flying insects with his "bug spray"
-Jaat13 for doing a great demo on snaring techniques and HAM radio
-Jaat's boy with an unknown username for helping with the HAM demo and helping us get rid of all that extra gear we had (we can properly address him once he figures out his username that he forgot)
-Snow for making the journey out and putting up with all of our BS
-czbohunk for donating all of his leftover gear to bindlestitch
