    I picked up one of these kits a couple of weeks ago. I have yet to use it but am looking forward to doing so. I got it to use on my Emberlit stove and to use with the MSR Micr Rocket I am planning to buy.

    I recon if you did the leather tab with my trick you could keep the tab sticking up through the top of the split ring and the bottom on the lid so it should be easy to grab...

    I had this experience as well. I checked several of the lids on the ones in the store and a couple had loose tabs.

    while trying to punch th epin out so i could remove the plastic tab potlid holder - i popped the spot weld off and the lid is now without any attachment point - nothing to slip a keyring thru




    any ideas for a fix?

    Grab a small wooden knob from craft or hardware store. Drill a hole in center of lid and run a screw through the lid into the knob.
