Default Just Won a Swedish Camp Axe Head

I just won a Swedish camp axe head on evilBay for $18.50. It weighs 1 pound 10 oz. It's marked HB (Hults Bruk?) made in Sweden on one side. I wanted a small hatchet and I think this will do. How's the quality?

It looks like the Hult's Bruks insignia to me. She's a beauty, I bet she'll clean up real nice!

Great score Ahnkochee! It looks like a smaller version of the Swedish army axe that SG had a few months back. That baby should last a couple lifetimes.

They are so over regulated as to what you can sell, and every year it gets worse. First they stopped the perfectly legal sales of firearms, then gun magazines, and barrels, pretty soon all guns parts, knives, swords, anything with a blade. They have become their own police state. I'd like to find an alternative to both evilBay, and Paypal. Any suggestions? I'll use them while I can until all they have left to sell is bulk chicom garbage.

My favorite axes. That's the Hults Bruk AGDOR pattern, named after their ancient Rodga forge - the letters are reversed.

My hatchet is just slightly lighter and came with a 14" helve - depending on how you want to set it up, I think that a slightly longer helve would be ideal due to the mass of the head.

Read Ross' review of the similar but newer "Husqvarna" hatchet which is made by HB on the same pattern - www.woodtrecker.com.

    Congratulations... that's a great purchase.

Hey I like the 18" handle, looks good. I haven't decided on handle length or style yet but prefer longer than shorter though 24" would definitely be the max.
