Iz, does everything have to be gathered at the same time as making the friction fire? For example I just collected basswood and cattails from the same location for learning hand drill, but they were cut green and need to season. Would that count or does it have to be all done same day? Not sure if the focus is on the natural materials or on improvising a friction fire "on demand" as it were.
