That is pretty dang clever, and it only adds one extra twist to what I already do to tie my shoes. Awesome, thanks for sharing.
I tie my boots that way. My uncle taught me this a few years ago so its been a constant for me. Havent had any come undone yet.
This came up on the How You Tie Your Boots thread and I've been using the Ian's Secure Knot (same knot, but tied a little differently to ensure that it stays symmetrical) for a week or so. So far I'm happy with it, seems to stay tied better and it's not really any harder to tie, other than having to relearn something I've been doing since I was 3
Seriously I need to learn to tie mt shoes all over again..... its a good thing we dont hate around here.
Looks good to me I will try it with my boots this weekend.
ever since i started using paracord in my boots... since for some reason my dog likes to eat regular shoestrings.. this is the knot ive used its so simple and NEVER comes undone.. and you can really torque it down.. and to untie just pull on the tag ends and it unfolds.. Great knot
I guess I'm doing something wrong. I tie mine just like normal except I tuck the extra in the top of my boot. But that's just because I don't like snakes hanging out.
Does it slip on you guys with just a regular knot?
