    Thanks guys. To give you an idea of how tight the layers are, that blade is 1/4" tall, 3/32" wide, and two inches long.

    I'm not going to finish this one. There is a small flaw in it by the start of the tang. I was just messing around when I made this. I'll make some more with nickle steel and 5160 in a larger billet so I can make a useable knife. This was my first try and what I would consider a success.
