    Default BBB hand made axe

I looked through my garage today to try and find 2 axe heads I knew were burried somewhere. The more normal looking felling axe head was given to my father by my great grandfather, and the shorter axe head with the extensions (what are those spike looking things called?) was given to me by my grandfather. Both of them have "BBB hand made" stamped on them. Anyone know anythng about them? The longer one hase been hammered on quite a bit by myself (before I learned an axe is not a wedge) and alot of people before me, and needs extensive reshaping. The shorter head is in much better shape. All suggestions for restoration, hanging, sharpeing, and all general axe advice welcome. I know a decent amount about axes now, from reading on this site. However I am still a novice, and any info would be appreciated.

read "an axe to grind" it's here in the downloads section.

also, look at the video called "tools for trail work" or something along those lines. it's on youtube. It's also on SkogKniv's channel.

also, a lot of threads on restoration by upthecreek, skogkniv, gaga, aguineapig, and many others. lots of good info and varying techniques and opinions...

Binghams Best Brand (BBB) were made in Cleveland Ohio. Try your search for info with that name. They made good axes.
