and if ya ever decide you want to get rid of it, cockeyedhunter.....
seriously....congrats on a fantastic score!
I think I'd love it even more as it's been beat on so much - what a story!

I took #3 out for a walk today to see how it felt in my hand. Did some split wood fire prep with big leaf maple. Sorry Solocanoe, this is a tough little knife that I intend to hold onto. Nice work Mr. Turley.

haha...good on you, bro!
yeah...once you start using the Turley's....it's crazy how they grow on ya!
that one's looking like it's found a good home!
Number 1
Definitely my most used knife ever. It has lived a hard life.
Prior preparation prevents piss-poor performance.
Great pics hunter and slice.
Hunter, in pic five of homeslice's post is what your knife used to look like...before I did stupid stuff like beat on the pommel without a pommel plate.
You listening Homeslice?
I see that pic of the hedge stump with your Gasconade driven in half way. Just sayin'.
Heh.
Glad you guys like them, it really is nice to hear.

You can see how this pattern has changed since those first prototypes.
My newer Gasconade is on top in this pic and Slicer's is on the bottom. Slicer's is the same specs as hunter's since it was one of the prototypes.

Them there are some fine looking blades, yes sir, some fine looking blades.
Fragrant little chips of history spewed from the saw cut, and accumulated on the snow before each kneeling sawyer. We sensed that these two piles of sawdust were something more than wood: that they were the interfered transect of a century; that our saw was biting its way, stroke by stroke, decade by decade, into chronology of a lifetime, written in concentric annual rings of good oak.

The Gasconade River is one of my favorite Turley models, but this particular one has to be my favorite produced so far

One of the best looking Turleys of all time. It's like a tuxedo made of steel.
