Gore's Landing

Has anybody taken a trip past Gore's Landing or a weekend trip like we just did as Kracaneuners. Maybe that was the chosen area of that section of river, just thought I would see if there is much interest in continuing on or up the river sometime for a long weekend again.

We put in at 316 and went up last weekend. We stayed at what I think is called piney island. Every thing I have seen between 40 and 316 is beautiful. It would be a good idea to go from 40 to 316 spending nights in different places. Sounds like a another great time. I tell what I want to do is the upper Suwanee.

I've done the section from Gore's to 316 several time's, and there are several more camp's on that section. It's about 5 hour's from Gore's to 316, by canoe.

The upper Suwannee is a beautiful camping river at the right water levels. Sandy bars to sleep on... It's on the list. I haven't been up there in years.

I'll be doing some "recon" up there in the next few weeks. I'll report back.

Yes they are state and county road numbers. I know the area so it wasn't hard for me to google up. If some one doesn't know the area google up Silver Springs and 40 goes right by it. Silver Springs is on the west side of Ocala. Hope this helps.
