Iz, does the regular version of this have a recurve or is that only as you put it a grinding mistake on #1.

I'd love to see a side shot of the regular version, if anyone has one.
Yeah it was only in that first one.
When I made it I had no plans to put the pattern in the regular lineup, it was just ganna be a one shot sort of thing. So I left the re-curve in it. Then I had a few requests for it so I put it in as a standard model.

Thanks for the pic and info, Dave and Iz.

I don't think I even considered the MR before, because I'm not into recurves and I didn't realize that was a one-shot deal. I'm gonna have to get on the list a second time now!

    It's a pretty popular pattern (that's a lotta "p's" ) these days.
I'm not a big knife user but lots of guys are and seem to like this one.
    Thanks, bro.

I sent you a quote request today, so I can get on the list for one of these. Since the Mississipi actually starts here in Minnesota (and Missouri just borrows it from us), I figure its appropriate that I get one of these. Otherwise I'd end up with only one of your knives named after a river in Iowa, and that just wouldn't be right.

(With all due respect to IAWoodsman, here in MN we say Iowa = I Oughta Went Around).

Hahha. You guys seem to feel the same way about Iowa that I feel about Kansas.

Iz, thanks for letting me play around with the Mississippi that you had at the Hardwoodsman Meet. I really enjoyed the feel of the handle and the performance of the grind. I'm glad I'm on the list for one.

I'm really surprised that there aren't more of these out there.
