It smelled funky not mildew funky but funky none the less, this island is nearly 100% humidity all the time so it must have been in storage for a while. I'ld say 10-12lbs is about right. It came with a repair kit, 18 stakes, and cordage. To be honest you only need 9 stakes for the whole tent. And the Rainfly is the heaviest part of the whole tent. No the tent wasn't dirty, I don't think it's ever been used. All theother tents I saw were the same way. I think there are 8-9 more tents at this surplus shop I went to.
