    Default Post Your Leather Work

I have recently started making knife sheaths, as you see from my recent post. I am not sure what other possabilities are out there for leather work other than wallets, pouches, book cover and the typical stuff you see in kits etc. I would like to see how creative and what types of things can be done with leather. Please post some of your leather work. We all post our sheaths and I like seeing those too, but would like to see what else is out there.

I recently made this simple money clip-thingy. For as long as I can remember I've been using just a binder clip, but recently my debit card seemed to be wearing out sooner than they should, so I made this and only keep my debit card in there, the cash and license clip to the back. The binder clip just goes thru a slit in the bottom of the leather.

    Howdy,

This bag is pretty typical of what I produce for the re-enactors I serve. This is a 18th century shot pouch reproduction of an original. I also do knife sheaths and odds and ends. Also, forging and horn work.

Made this at the Professor's meet. I'm pretty happy with it for a first ever attempt.

Here is about half of the leather "jewelry" that I make as a hobby for myself and wear. Leather is the main part of the items and sometimes I use pieces of brass tack rings in some of them. The medicine bag contains some sage for "smudging" and a small silver wolf fetish as the wolf is my chosen "totem spirit".

Here's my design for sheaths. One member aptly named it the "dangle with the angle" its called sword carry and is drawn cross body on my left, like a sword. Works for me as I like to keep my right side free from clutter.

Great looking sheath. I've got some leather out on the bench and was going to put an angled belt loop on a sheath for my Green River. I really like your rig because it won't interfere with the waist belt on my pack. Thanks! You guys rock. This is a great place for an old dog to learn new tricks.
