Good stuff Bill. I just entered in my local woods, in case anyone finds themselves around Oslo for whatever reason, and needs a quick woods fix. I'm thinking also of setting in a few other Norwegian locations; there's some great nature here, and the usage rules are generally pretty relaxed.

Bump -- I'm a fairly new member and have posted a few locations in my area.

Please post known good locations in your neck of the woods -- we can all benefit greatly by sharing our knowledge.

If you visit places based on this thread, please be respectful and leave them better than you find them.

    Thanks.

This is a great idea! Anyone know what types of public lands allow you to practice bushcraft? I'm assuming it's more acceptable in national forests, but is there any place where you can actually cut down some trees to use?

Just added Maryland's Green Ridge State Park. Very nice location with primitive backwoods camping and established sites. Fishing plentiful and a shooting range.
