The McKinney woodsman pack
This is a two to three day pack depending on how good you are at packing, what you attach to it, time of year and/or how minimal you want to go.
It's a small pack influenced by the World War Two jungle pack that rides high on your back.
It was named in honor of John McKinney, an U.S. Army infantry soldier who by himself killed over a hundred Japanese soldier while serving in the pacific. For his actions he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

If you want to read the whole story you can check out the book "Phantom Warrior". It details about every minute of John Mckinney's actions that day, I highly recommend it. It's an awe inspiring story to say the least.
These packs will be available in materials other than camouflage in the future also for people who don't want to look too military.
Here's a video I did on some of the features of the pack and the reason for them.

Back view showing the axe on one side slid behind the pocket and the Raider side pocket hooked up to the other side. The Raider is loaded with a complete one man shelter. When loaded with a trailblazer saw and tent poles (or similar low profile equipment) it too can be slid behind the side pocket.
This is the optional Raider side pocket. Named in honor of the 1st Marine raiders who distinguished themselves during the war in the Pacific and paved the way for many special operations to come. You can read more about them here:

The pocket is about 25" long without the lid.
Finally this shows the Miller chest rig hooked up to the McKinney pack and used as a cinch system to suck the pack to the wearer's body.
Future changes in the pack:
All pockets will have side skirts, risers will be added, no drawstring, all buckles will be 1" instead of 3/4", will have the Turley logo on the top lid, a strap sewn behind one side pocket to be used to secure the Raider pocket when loaded with a bulky shelter, possibly adding pals webbing to the inside top of the main pack to be used as hang points for cinch sacks with toggles.
