Short review/test - JK Camp Knife

I've owned my JK Camp Knife for several years now, it's been used(abused) quite extensively. Whenever I want a super tough knife I turn to this blade. I received it for christmas(my bro got a matching knife) with my initials in it. Here is a short review doing some typical camp chores.

First I want to show you the size, paired up with a Randall 14. The camp knife is no small fella, measuring about 6.25 inches in length and almost 1.5" broad. 2nd pic shows my initials, my bros knife also has his punched in, which John did at no extra charge. Really personalizes the knife and gives it that special touch.

Here it is being used for batonning. This was a piece of seasoned wood with a big ole knot, it took some effort and finesse, but it lost, I won.

Small pile of wood, good for a little day trip fire to keep you company.

Here is a feather stick I made with it. I used the draw knife method. Not the best featherstick, but hey, I'm not perfect at everything.

Final test, carving notches, spear point and fishing spear. It did great for all these tasks and did very well making the fishing spear considering how small diameter the wood is and how thick the knife is. At first glance the knife handle appears that it might give hotspots while doing chores due to some edges not being knocked down, but I've never suffered any blisters from this knife. It's a very comfortable handle, fits in my hand just right.

All in all it's a great knife, begs to be put to use.

ETA: Now that I look at it those shavings are pathetic lol. That wood was hard as a rock, when I go to the woods tomorrow to review another knife I'll do better feathersticks and get a little chopping done.

Yeah it's a fine looking knife.

Wanted to point out that he will put a ferro rod holder on the sheath and make matching rods.

Also if the wrap wasn't on the handle you could see how the brass pins and tube really set the color scheme off.

Finally went and got some chopping done. Not exactly the best chopper, but does well enough.

Did some more shavings, lit up easily like theyre supposed to.

Here's the balance point, right at the front finger groove.

I tested his ViKtim on a pass around and beat the snot out of it. Chopped, batonned, tip chopping and then I hammered it through an old vehicle hood. The dang thing only slightly rolled about .250" of the edge. He makes a great knife. Yours looks good.
