    Default Video Software Suggestions

    Hi gang
I see many really good looking videos on this board and want to start making some too.
Currently I use windows movie maker but I know there is better out there.
Any advice on some decent software that does not cost a fortune and is user friendly?
Thanks in advance for any input...

Adobe premeire elements won't break the bank and is just a stripped down version of the real deal.
However, Sony Vegas is super full featured and reasonably priced. The only downside to Vegas, at least the versions I've used, is that it is not as intuitive as other things out there. But it has all the features of software costing 5x as much.

Tapatalk ate my spelling and grammar.

+1 for Premeire elements. Powerful enough for the average joe, but easy enough to use.

My Samsung camera came with its own software, its pretty good, I use it mainly to convert .wmv to .mp4, which is a smaller file size.
Transitions are a bit flashy for my taste, so I rarely use them. Even though it uses more memory, I still use Windows Movie Maker.

I use Pinnacle Studio Ultimate. Very simple to use and complicated when you are ready. Plus is allows me to work in high bit rates with my DSLR video.

Well I used up my Adobe trial offer and simply didn't like it. Something about video I just can't seem to grasp yet.
I am looking into the Pinnacle software now.

Like the original poster, I use Windows Live Movie Maker, which is free. I'm actually quite satisfied with what it does, but I too would be interested in trying something else if anyone can recommend some decent freeware.

    Thanks,
