The bayonet makes a real good pig sticker for when things get dicey on a hog hunt. It at least makes you feel better anyway.

Scope mount is affordable and easy just using 3/8" dovetail scope rings made for 22RF rifles which attaches to base of removed rear sight so no damage made to rifle, easy to return to original condition. Some people in US do modify these rifles using hacksaws and grinders. We call that "bubbafying". I prefer not to "bubbafy".
As soon as you set the riflescope was then rifle "bubbafy" )))

Two weeks ago, I went down to Whittington Center in Raton, NM to shoot on their long ranges. I was shooting my GSR at 300 yards in the prone position and was getting some dirt/sand thrown up by the blast from the bottom of the OEM flash suppressor. No big deal at the range, but annoying none the less.
When I got home, I ordered a 7.62 A2 flash hider online and it came last Wedensday in the mail. I had a T60 Torx wrench that fit the factory hider perfectly and popped that off. I put the new crush washer and A2 on and centered the closed, bottom portion facing down. Took the GSR to my buddies range and it works fine in the prone . Similar to slightly better flash suppression and no flying dirt.
I thing it is a worthwhile mod for $29.95.
If you do this, make sure the A2 is a 7.62/.308 version!!!

My Ruger GSR has a Leupold FXII 2.5x28mm with Leupolds alumina flip-up scope covers. Also I have 3 RGSR 10 round Alpha Industries mags, Galco safari ching sling and a BA Battlecomp installed. It's a awesome rifle and I love it.

Accurate mag vs Alpha Industries RGSR.

Does that Battlecomp give $220 worth of compensation? That is a chunk of money for a compensator.

Does the Battlecomp thread onto the existing GSR threads without modification?

I would think that the short barrel would benefit more from a compensator than the stock flash suppressor. Only my opinion.

I think it does. A friend of mine has a Savage 10FP and my RGSR has less recoil then his Savage 10FP. Some people would be worried about the increased muzzle flash and concussion but from behind the gun I haven't noticed any change from the stock flash suppressor.

Yes the BA Battlecomp will thread on without modification. Also it comes with a new crush washer and must be timed correctly.

Straight from Alpha Industries. I am thinking about ordering a few more.
