I like the first version with the second pattern handle but I would really like to see a single-edge version of the old OSS collar or lapel knife. It has grasping grooves forged into the handle. As a benefit, lashing holes would allow it work better as a spear point.

I like the top one with two small additions. At the bottom of the blade flare the end of the blade a little so you would have a thumb rest against the end of the blade. It would make the blade more stable and give you a bit of leverage for skinning work. Once you did that the cutting edge would need to be pushed forward just a little to allow for the flair. Am I missing the point of the blade or is this a viable option?

I prefer the top one as well from a skinning aspect with a DIY branch handle. Put me down for one, let me know.
