What pants do you wear?

I prefer the Carhartt Canvas Dungarees. They block wind well. Wet and cold are better with a wind proof rain pant.

Surplus wool pants are a dime a dozen, and are good for cooler weather. For the summer months, I love my North Face synthetic convertible pants (paramount peaks) and are right at about $40.

Hey BFS, I was just looking at those North Face pants. It gets mixed reviews on REI so I'm not sure about them. I need something to use during the summer here in the Colorado high country for backpacking. It sounds like you'd recommend them.

I am a Carhartt man myself, if it's cold out I wear my thermal long underwear, and scotchguard treat my pants for the rainy season as it keeps most of the water out.

DDR wool trausers and Soldier 95 (UK) lightweigt cotton pants. Good to go allmost year around at here. That mix did cost me about 20€(26.43 US Dollar).
