Goal Zero: Guide 10 Plus Adventure Kit [solar charger]

Hi all,

My wife gave me a Goal Zero solar charging kit for xmas.

This is a great little charger. Our apartment has unobstructed East and South exposures. I find that I can hang the Nomad 7 panel / Guide 10 rechargeable battery pack [AA / AAA] on the inside of a window on a sunny day are recharge the batteries in 3 hours or so - depending on charge state. [... so you don't have to be outdoors in the Sahara at midday to use the thing.] My interest in this item was to have a reliable power source for emergency lighting - cell phone / GPS charging and so on. It works - and can be had well below msrp via Amazon etc.

On a quite different topic, I have a Randall Model 5 in 5" carbon and neat fittings due at the end of March. It is a little early to start standing by the mailbox, but since I ordered the thing in mid-2008 I am ready to take delivery. Will post pics when it appears.
