    Default Stacked leather Puukko

I got a nice Lauri blade for Christmas and decided to get it handled before school starts back up.
The handle is made from an old leather belt from Goodwill and the end cap is a 2 pence piece.
I am going to try to make a sheath this weekend. Updated with sheath.
    Opinions?

Looks similar to my IJ Aito, but mine has birch bark. One of the best knives I have ever owned, so no doubt, yours is a joy!! Congrats. Love the butt cap, too!

My knife is a TOOL not a weapon, unless by chance it absolutely has to become a weapon for survival. All this can also be said for my hammer, screwdriver, pen, hands, and so on and so forth......

Very Nice indeed! How did you finish the leather?
Do something! You're dead a long time, and it's later than you think.

After sanding to shape, I coated it with superglue. Sanded it with some 220, wash and repeat x3. After the last sanding, I rubbed a couple of coats of Johnson paste wax into it. Finally, I buffed it with the dremel and some green paste.

I am in the process of making a sheath for this ( taking a break cause my fingers hurt).
I will post it up tomorrow.

Thanks for all of the comments. I think I have finally found the knife for me!
