Had to fire it up and make coffee for the heck of it. This is the flame pattern with the coleman quart anodized pot.

Okay I'm very happy over the trangia. I used to burn everything whether aluminum or stainless. Today I put 1 cup of water on with 3/4 oz of denatured.In 30 minutes I had good bubbles. No rolling boil with the simmer ports almost closed.

Then I did this with them fully open. I can say honestly that I don't think I will ever need it wide open. Maybe if it's wicked cold out. I really like how quick it primed to flame and ony wish I could adjust the simmer ring while hot. I may agree with you guy's about it being too tight. I'll listen to any suggestion you have on that.

In regards to adjusting the simmer ring while cooking/boiling...just apply a gentle amount of pressure to your pot to hold the burner firm and then tap the simmer ring handle with a stick or similar object.

My $10 "scratch-n-dent" Turbo II D arrived today. His "scratch-n-dent" condition is equal to, or better than, a lot of gear I've bought brand new... There was a 1/4 inch spot on the rim of the priming cup which had been folded over 1/16th of an inch or so... Nothing that would be any kind of functional problem... 30 seconds with a pair of needle-nose, and now I have to look really hard to even tell where it was. It could easily have been sold as full price gear...

I just wanted to say how great it is to see a craftsman with such high quality standards...

A little praise for Aaron at Brasslite: I bought one of the scratch 'n dents in February, and it got lost in the mail. When I contacted him about it early in March, he responded on the same day and sent out a second stove on good faith, asking that if the first one ever shows up to refuse delivery so it would be returned to him.

That's good business, but its also very decent.

(Lo and behold, the stove he initially sent out arrived in my mail almost a month after he mailed it. The USPS had it all that time. On its way back to him now).
