Whelen wilderness knife thread

If you got pics you're more than welcome to put them up here. Or if you have questions about this model or just want to talk about it, that's ok too.
Mostly this will be a running thread on the knives of this model I've made for people to use as a reference for a knife they have or are looking to buy on the secondary market.

10/13/12 *prototype* 3/16" o-1 tool steel, Varied convex grind, heat treat scale left on the flats, tero tuf tan scales, 1/4" and 1/8" brown g10 pins

10/31/12 13/64" 5160 spring steel, 3/4 height convex grind, black g10 scales, 1/8" orange g10 spacers, 3/16" and 1/8" stainless steel pins

Iz what was your inspiration for this design? Also what do you think of the terotuff material? I've used it once and like it.

It's a historical pattern that supposedly Whelen designed.

Honestly I didn't care for the terrotuff. It seemed softer than g10 or micarta and I didn't care for the colors they offered much. But that's nothing against it as far as toughness, I'm sure it's plenty tough and a good handle material. No doubt. They probably have some new colors too.
