Afraid I don't. A hydrometer is pretty cheap though. If you get into this you'll probably want to just pick one up.

Just moved my apple/cherry and apple/raspberry to secondary. Both tested good without the backsweetening. I have high hopes!

Well yesterday while watching the race I decided i had waited long enough, ( i back sweetened on Saturday afternoon) and poured myself a few.... glasses of my try at this juice of the gods. I will say it is way better then I thought my first run through would be. Hell my wife even said it was pretty good, except for how strong it was. PS she not a drinker at all. I have one and only one complaint about it. This morning i woke up with the worst gas I have ever gotten from drinking.
Next time I make it i think i will put some honey and cinnamon in when i backsweeten it.
Thank you Lerch for posting this. I will be using it for a long time to come. Bottoms up!

From what i have read as long as you put them in when you backsweeten you should be ok. I know a guy who makes his own rum and that's all he does, is just put a stick or two in after its all done. Hopefully some one with first hand experience could chime in. That's just my two cents

My cranberry apple is finished. It turned out really good. It taste like wine, almost like a merlot. I am now addicted to this cider making. Thanks again lerch

    Tiny,
I'm glad to hear that! Did you use separate juices or did you find an apple/cranberry mix? I saw a mixed juice concentrate at Wallyworld. I thought about it and decided against it. It may the next batch.

I used a premixed concentrate. Just make sure it's 100% juice. I did an apple one too. They both turned out great.
