    That shelter was a hybrid - lean-to kochanski with pine bough and snow insulation.

    And boy was it cozy. The real trick is how to the float the big warming fire in deeeeep snow.

    Please tell us more about how you floated your fire, Susanne, if you would. Perhaps in a dedicated thread, if that would be more appropriate. I've built fires on split wood 'floors' in deep snow, but they always burn through the 'floor' into the snow within a couple of hours, leaving me with a wet, cold mess

    Hi! Thanks. The music is FC Kahuna, the track is called Hayling. There is a link to the track on the Youtube page. Its one of my favourite tracks!
