said they had 7 in stock, tried to order 3 but would only let me get one.....sigh

Guys keep checking the site. Amazon has a round-robin thing to spread sales amongst sellers. They also release stock in batches in case a vendor f*cks up and puts the wrong price out there. This way the vendor has to allocate more stock and confirm the price if the first batch depletes.
I missed it. The price is up to 139.95 now.
