I think W.C. Fields may have been a bushcrafter at heart. He said this:

“I always keep some whiskey handy in case I see a snake...which I also keep handy.”

I am partial to Jack Daniels myself.

Jim Beam, although this flask was the end of some Famous Grouse, or was it Brandy?.......I do enjoy a few sips of "who hit John" after a day outdoors and the tasks have been completed. Open for suggestions....thinking of trying George Dickel or Rebel Yell. Any suggestions?

Hot coffee or tea for me. I usually do not drink when I'm in the woods, because I usually am armed. Although after the firearms were cleared and stowed in a couple deer and elk camps, Jack Daniels made an appearance.

George Dickel #12 is very good, and good value for money. The Barrel Select is about twice as much and not as good, IMO. I haven't tried the #8, so I can't help you there I'm afraid.

Gentleman Jack Daniels; Blackberry Brandy-Polish Style; Vodka 100 proof (goes good with TANG).

I'm not actually one to bring alcohol on camping trips, but if I do it would be a stainless flask filled with brandy. That's usually my liquor of choice to keep around for sipping straight. I do prefer a good cognac, but brandy is a lot cheaper. I keep regular brandy, VSOP, and XO, so it can get pretty smooth.
