    Question Rugged/Tactical/Waterproof/Bushy Cell Phone Case

Ok everybody, I need some help. I am leaving my beloved iPhone 4 for (gasp!) an Android phone! An HTC One X to be exact.

I have already looked all over the internet at the offerings available for a Rugged Smart phone cases, but can't decide between a couple of models:

    Otterbox (Defender or Commuter)

    Trident AMS

    Seidio Convert

What I am looking for is your experiences with these and if you can suggest other brands that I have not mentioned.

I already have experience with the otterbox defender on my iPhone 4. Please give testimonials and what phone it was for.

    Thanks for your help!

I have had a trident case for Evo 4g and now I have an otterbox for my Evo 4g LTE. The trident seemed a little bulkier and didn't ever want to come out of my pocket. The otterbox is pretty nice and still takes a beating. I drop mine all the time.

I won't buy a new phone unless there is an Otterbox Defender case available for it. Over the years, the phones I've had with an Otterbox have lasted indefinitely, while the ones without one have lasted 2-6 mos. They definitely save my butt. First one I got was late 2008. Work so well for me never considered any other alternative.

    Thumbs up

I've got a lifeproof case for my iphone4.

It's pretty bombproof so far, water tight etc. And it's slim. The only thing is that it's kinda fiddly to get the charger hooked in, you can do it it just takes some fiddling around with it.

Looks like they make a lifejacket for it too so the phone will float.

+1 on the Life Proof, but they do not make them for HTC phones.

I have an Otterbox and I like it, I tried to close my droidx2 up in the tailgate of my truck, destroyed the phone and the otterbox so I took my wifes droid. I called Otterbox and they sent me a new one at no charge.

I've had a Seidio since my iPhone4 was new(2+ years) and it's been great. Removed it for the first time a couple weeks ago to clean up the phone and it's still good as new. I like that the case has a solid pocket clip that the phone detaches from easily while remaining fully armored.
