I have that exact phone and love it. Also the Otterbox Defender, you can't go wrong.

It's pretty bombproof so far, water tight etc. And it's slim. The only thing is that it's kinda fiddly to get the charger hooked in, you can do it it just takes some fiddling around with it.

Looks like they make a lifejacket for it too so the phone will float.
    I have the same

Just to throw my .02 in we bought 4 atrix 2s and 4 otter box defenders at the same time. Only one phone is left in a defender and that case is on its last leg. These are not overly abused in any way just normal everyday use. In my opinion they are overpriced garbage.

My Wife and I use TPU cases on our Galaxy S2's and we love them. Inexpensive and rugged. I bought it to get me through till otter box made a case for our phones originally, but after dropping it repeatedly and no damage occuring, I decided to just stay with it. Going on a few years and no damage to the phones. Here's a video of them.

    Otterbox (Defender or Commuter)

    Trident AMS

    Seidio Convert

What I am looking for is your experiences with these and if you can suggest other brands that I have not mentioned.

I already have experience with the otterbox defender on my iPhone 4. Please give testimonials and what phone it was for.

    Thanks for your help!
Just a quick thought to add to the decision making process. Why not the Casio Commander II? Its made to Mil-Spec and does not need a extra case? Its all in one. I have the original Casio Commander and swear by it. It gets thrown in my tool belt, truck, been dropped from 8 ft ladders... it just keeps going..

Down sides - it does chew through battery power. I am lucky to get a full day of heavy use. (i.e texting, web use, and calls) without throwing it on the truck charger or coming close to running out.

Upside, you can abuse the heck out of it and it still works.

Just a thought. Good luck on your quest.

    Later,

Although I gave high praise to the Seidio case earlier, and still recommend it, I just got a Nite Ize Connect Case for my iPhone and really like it. It has a pocket clip like the Seidio, which I think is essential, but the clip and case together are far more slim and lightweight. And it only cost about $30. I can't report on long-term durability yet, but I really like it so far.

I've got a defender on my iphone5 and like it a lot. Though I've seen similar cases on monoprice.com for a lot less, and had I discovered them first I would have gotten one of those instead. I've not tried their phone cases, but monoprice's other merchandise has always been top notch and better than the name brand alternatives, especially for AV cables.

I use one of the Ballistic cases on my iphone. They do make one for the phone you have. I like it better than the Otterbox cases. I had an Otterbox on my iphone 3gs but passed on them for my iphone 4 because I didn't like that they changed some of the design. I carry my iphone with me when I run in all weather conditions and the Ballistic case has kept my phone dry and safe while running in the rain even thought the armband that I carry it in is soaked. The Ballistic case includes an easily removable/installable silicone cover that provides an extra layer of protection when you think you might need it.

I have an Otterbox Defender case for my HTC, beefy case. I did break the belt holster thing that holds the phone in, snapped right off with a little pressure trying to get the phone locked in. Otterbox replaced it under warranty, no charge. They actually sent me the entire package, which was good because shortly thereafter, I broke the piece that clips into the belt holster and had to swap out that piece.

If it wasn't for the belt holster, I would have had no issues. I just don't like the phone in my pocket and prefer to carry it on my belt usually.

I have not seen any phone covers that are waterproof but they do add a layer of protection from rain and dropping.

Good luck in the quest for the perfect case.
