Default Custom MP Bowie, 4 3/4" Box Elder Burl, File Work - SOLD

I have an MP Bowie for sale.

Although this knife has been named the "bowie", the general design itself is more of a hunter/combat knife than a traditional bowie, but the original inspiration was the bowie knife. The design has evolved a little since my first model. The initial idea came from making a bowie into a usable, all around woodsman's knife that could be used to baton wood, make feather sticks for fire lighting, skin an animal, field dress, clean a fish, and chop smaller wood.

It is hand forged from 1095 and has blue dyed box elder burl. I will list the specs below.

    -1095 HC Steel
    -4 3/4" blade
    -9 3/4" Overall Length
    -3/16" Thick
    -1 1/2" Tall
    -Differential Heat Treatment
    -Full Height Convex "Grind"
    -Black Accented Vine File Work
-Blue Dyed and Stabilized Box Elder Burl
    -Red liners

    $350

This will be listed for one week, before it goes to a local shop.

    Default Wow.

That is a gorgeous piece sir, and this would be my claim post if I didn't have to start ring shopping. Love those scales! I wonder if I could set up gift registries with the craftsmen on the forum. Hmmmmm...

I have to say, you really do make some beautiful sharps!

Sadly I was born good looking rather than rich, but one day we will have a discussion about a Hudson's Bay knife with flame maple scales. It won't be for a while though, sadly. Unless you are maybe interested in nice old khukuries, of which I seem to have a large number... PM me if the subject of a trade is of interest, and if not then one day I will just have to approach you with real money instead.
