When we find out what is going on in Congress, the panic buying may subside

Lautenberg mag ban proposed today, Feinstein proposed AWB Thursday. Then the fight. It could be awhile because I suspect this will go to SCOTUS.
Probably best if we all just take our shotguns, bacon, and knives and go camping for a year.

    Regards,

I literally can't get any .22lr in any store near me at any price. The shelves are bare. Sucks. Just splurged on a gift to myself of a Browning 1911-22 for Christmas, and now I can't fire it any more because I ran out of what I have

This is just like the Brady Bill. Companies will turn out 22 here and there, but they are focusing on 9mm and 5.56.

    Default Ammo

I ordered 500 rounds of 223 off Midway today, $239.00 shipped, no back order. I rounded up for a donation to the NRA. Thats not too bad, its independence ammo name brand. I see that availlability and price as a sign that the shortage may get better soon.
I was speaking to a dealer in Class 3 weapons today as well, I was wanting to order two stripped AR Lowers to stick in the safe and forget about, the lead time was 8 weeks. The dealer told me to pay now for the lower delivery in 8 weeks was not a good idea, said he was already seeing an uptick in parts, that he thought the prices would go down in the next 8 weeks.
He wouldnt even quote me a price on a lower, said he made more selling complete guns than parts. Did quote me a price on a SBR suppressed complete upper though, one day maybe.

I found some 22 at walmart a few weeks back, but now the shelves are bare. I'm to the point I'm not shooting because I dont know when I will be able to replenish my supply. The 223 listed above will be tucked away and shot once the availability and price are reasonable.

I don't understand who could be buying all these guns and ammo................my understanding from reading the news and watching TV is that the American public hates gun ownership and wants all guns banned.....at least that is what they have been telling me.
