I had a buddy tell me of a very similar experience in Colorado. Although it may seem playful, I think that the coyote was probably trying to protect something, young or possibly a kill.

Yes saw that before,and similar experience happen to me a few years ago,let me tell you i was kinda of freaked out at first but after a while i was laughing to see that coyote act like a dog...Will remember that for the rest of my life,and my father in law too,he almost sh..himself hahaha....
